Art historian Margaret Breukink gives a lecture at Mfc De Boerhoorn in Rolde about five centuries of food and table manners, based on paintings, drawings and photos.
Art historian Margaret Breukink takes visitors on a journey through time along table culture, etiquette and good manners. Using paintings, drawings and photos, she shows how eating and table customs have changed over the centuries and how people ate, drank and behaved at the table over the past five hundred years. The lecture is called Displechtigheden: 5 centuries of food and table manners in art.
The lecture is organised by the Cultural Association Rolde in cooperation with Bibliotheek Rolde.
Admission costs € 7,50, library members pay € 5,00 and CVR members have free access.
