De Bonte Wever Assen
Leisure complex in Assen with swimming pools, saunas, bowling, a gym, restaurants and a hotel. You can go swimming there with children or spend an afternoon in the sauna.
The swimming area has a wave pool, a wild-water creek and a 25-metre pool for competitions and lane swimming. For the youngest there is a children's pool with slides and play features, and if you want to unwind there are the whirlpools and the bubble bath. There is also an outdoor pool, and swimming lessons are given.
The sauna area includes a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna, a herbal bath and a steam room. To cool down there are plunge pools and an ice grotto, and between sauna sessions you can lie down in the relaxation room.
De Bonte Wever also has a gym, bowling lanes and curling, a beauty salon and several restaurants. There is a hotel as well, concerts, shows and fairs are held there, and it caters for meetings and company outings.
